CHINA
Country Overview:
“Love the food, hate the government”
I arrived in China in May 2013 and left August 2020. I taught English for awhile, did my master’s of politics & foreign policy at Tsinghua University, worked for a year at China Today, and then two years at Xinhua News Agency. I spent most of my time in Beijing, but also traveled to Shanghai, Wuhan, Inner Mongolia, Shenzhen, Panjin, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Qingdao, Xi’an, Sanya, Macau, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Happy Belated 4th of July
Pictures of white suit (and girl in wedding dress) are from a photoshoot I did with a friend who needed “model” pictures for his new company. More to come. Hopefully this will be my last 4th of July in a communist country.
So close...
Leaving for China early Sunday morning. Working and training until then. Boise is a boring place when transitioning between 2 countries.
After complaining repeatedly about the lack of beer choices in Arequipa, Peru, I suppose I should show what I was comparing it to. This is part of the beer aisle in a Fred Meyer in Boise, Idaho. Choices for days.
