#10: Crocs Sliders

I resisted Crocs for years because, well, look at them. Then I needed cheap house slippers in Thailand and grabbed a pair of Crocs slides for maybe twelve dollars. Now I own three pairs. They're ugly and I don't care anymore. The foam is genuinely comfortable, easy to rinse off when they get dirty, and they dry in minutes. I wear them around the house, to the pool, on quick trips to 7-Eleven. They've outlasted every other pair of sandals I've owned in the same timeframe. To clarify, I’m talking about the slides, not the closed toe original Crocs, I haven’t stooped that low yet.

Bonus: Crocs sells replacement insoles separately, and they fit inside regular shoes. Same foam, same comfort, around fifteen dollars. I've put them in work shoes, sneakers, whatever needs a cushion upgrade. Way cheaper than aftermarket insoles and honestly more comfortable than most of them.
