First visited in 2017 and something clicked immediately. The food is world-class, the culture is rich, and the cost of living makes it easy to stay longer than planned. Ended up based in Chiang Mai, which has turned into one of my favorite places on earth — moat city vibes, great coffee, mountains nearby.
