One of Asia's most underrated destinations — great food, great cities, and genuinely warm people.
Solo trip in 2018 and Taiwan immediately went on my favorites list. Taipei is fast and fascinating, the night markets are legendary, and the mountain scenery in the interior is stunning. Feels like it has all of Japan's quality with a more relaxed, open energy.
