Machu Picchu is one of those places that actually lives up to every photograph you've ever seen.

Visited in 2012 and Peru hit differently than I expected. The altitude in Cusco knocks you sideways, but once you get to Machu Picchu, none of that matters. The food scene is also criminally underrated — some of the best meals of my life.
