Rougher around the edges, but the Bay Islands are some of the best diving in the world.

Passed through during the Central America run in 2011. The mainland is gritty and misunderstood, but the Caribbean coast and Copán ruins make it worth the detour. Most people skip it — I think that's a mistake.
