KL's skyline, diverse food scene, and jungle-covered hills make it one of Southeast Asia's most underrated stops.

Visited in 2016 and Malaysia punches well above its weight. Kuala Lumpur has a genuine energy to it, and the food culture — Malay, Chinese, Indian, all coexisting — is extraordinary. Spent a night in the Cameron Highlands and felt like I'd stumbled into a completely different world.
