Paris is clichéd for a reason — it really is that beautiful, and the food really is that good.

Solo trip in 2015 and Paris held up. I went in skeptical — too hyped, too touristy — and left converted. Walking along the Seine at night, eating a croque monsieur at a sidewalk café at midnight... it works. Hard to argue with a city that's been perfecting itself for centuries.
