I’m staying in Chung King Mansion here in Hong Kong and it’s wild. It’s a huge building, sectioned off in blocks and filled with small hostels, electronic shops, small quickie marts, restaurants, and people whispering ‘coke, weed, hash’ in your ear as you walk by. There are people from every country in the world, speaking a variety of languages and intermingling in this culturally rich environment. My room is about 2 by 4 meters big and the shower is right above the toilet, and not getting the water heater wet (with wires poking out) is unavoidable. It’s an adventure to say the least.
