The monotony of living in China can be the real enemy. As I continually go to the gym, work, and surf Netflix, I begin to think that I need to be doing something. There are of course plans in the near future that will be happening, but it’s the tediousness of the day to day that drives me to stray from the course and find something to keep me from saying, “I’m bored.” There are 2 giant music festivals here in Beijing playing for the May Labor Day and I struggled to decide if I should go or not. Money was the big factor seeing as how I’m going to Brazil for the World Cup which won’t exactly be cheap. So as I decided to not go, I reminded myself that regardless of short term pleasure, it’s important to stay the course. *obligatory quarter
