I feel like this is such a Chinese thing to do, have some weirdo awkwardly measure your skirt so you can get a discount on an already cheap meal. Then brag to all your friends that it was such a cool experience and you were part of the uniqueness. On top of that, what if the skirt doesn’t qualify as “short”? And even if there was a determined length, who chose that number and on what basis? Since hotpot is a communal meal, does the discount apply to the entire check, as long as “short skirt lady” was at the table? These are the questions I need answered
